Resources for Healing

IMG_6501.JPG

Mediumship is only one avenue of healing and is not a replacement for medical and psychological care. Here are links to outside resources that you may find beneficial for yourself or someone you love. I recommend only seeing a medium only 1-2 a year, but therapy is something that should be ongoing.

988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

Call or text 988 if you need immediate support. After someone we love dies it is natural to think more about death. However, if you have been thinking of suicide, please reach out for help.

From the website: “We can all help prevent suicide. The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals in the United States.”

Therapists

If you have insurance, you can call your insurance provider and ask for a list of therapists who take your insurance. You may also be able to find this on the website of your insurance provider or by logging into your user portal and doing a search.

You can also look on Psychology Today’s website for a licensed psychotherapist near you. There is a filter for insurance.

If you do not have insurance there are many counseling centers that offer their services low cost and sliding scale. Look for centers with master’s level interns and post graduate therapists working towards licensure.
